The CFA West Michigan Society and the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University are offering the following services to candidates who are preparing for the June 2008 CFA examinations.
- Levels I, II, and III Practice Exams - On May 10, 2008 there will be a practice examination for all three levels of the CFA Examination. The practice examination will be conducted in two sessions (morning and afternoon) and will resemble the actual CFA examinations. The examinations are prepared by the Boston CFA Society. Detailed answer keys will be distributed to the participants after the examination. There is no charge for the practice exams but you must register for them. Registration deadline for the practice exams is May 1, 2008.
- Level I Review Classes – A series of 5 Saturday classes will be conducted in the Spring of 2008. The classes will devote 2 hours each to all eighteen study sessions suggested by the CFA Institute. The dates and topics of the sessions are described below. There will be a charge of $250 per participant for enrollment in the series.
- CFA Reference Library – A collection of reference materials for all three levels is available at the Steelcase Library in GVSU’s Pew Campus (Downtown).
In the Level I Review Classes, the emphasis will be on the more difficult issues covered in each study session. Two hours does not provide enough time to teach all of the material in the session. Before each study session, students are expected to have read the study materials as set out by the CFA Institute and to have worked the problems.
