Position Description:

Skills & Experience Required

−        3-5 years professional experience in the financial services industry is required, preferably in a fixed income research role

−        Knowledge of Fixed Income valuation and modern portfolio theory is required

−        Strong math and statistics skills (e.g., probability theory, time series analytics) and facility with statistical packages (e.g., matlab) required

−        Excellent communication/presentation skills and experience in writing research reports are required

Required Qualifications

−       Graduate (PhD preferred) degree in Finance, Financial Engineering or related field with a technical/quantitative undergraduate degree (i.e., Computer Science, Statistics, Physics)

Petrochemicals Analyst - Riyad Bank
Riyad Bank is looking for a Petrochemicals Analyst to cover the sector in the Saudi market. This analyst will be responsible for the analysis of Saudi petrochemical companies and their equities and will be expected to produce regular reports summarizing findings and forecasts. The analyst will be expected to contribute to sector news flow and will communicate views. There will be an emphasis on original, bottom-up research:

Develop detailed company earnings models including revenue, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
Speak with company management to keep abreast of developments.
Conduct real-time financial research and valuation analysis and prepare reports.
Gather and analyze data and perform financial analysis on major corporate actions.
Research the economic and strategic trends that drive returns in petrochemicals.

Qualifications, skills, and attributes needed:

Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field.
A minimum of three years experience in petrochemical equity analysis.
Strong quantitative/analytical skills, experience in company forecasting and an understanding of economics.
CFA, MBA, CPA or ACA a plus.
Able to quickly grasp key points amid vast quantities of information.
Highly competent, motivated and team-oriented.
Able to work to deadlines and under pressure in a hardworking group.
Knowledge of Arabic a plus.
