Czech CFA Society's Investment Research Challenge 2009/2010

In order to promote best practices in equity research and company analysis, students are getting a chance to research, analyze, and report on a listed company as if they were practising analysts.

All members of the winning team received a complimentary VIP tickets to the Forecasting Dinner and scholarships for the CFA exam level I for the upcoming scholar year 2010/2011 at the value of $ 1,110 each.

 

Unique opportunity for students

The challenge gathers students, investment industry professionals, publicly traded companies, and corporate sponsors together for a real world competition.  An existing European listed company provides presentation and their investment department are available for the ‘analysts calls’.

Top Czech investment professionals involved

Czech CFA society’s members being top Czech investment professionals are grading the research studies and evaluating the finalists’ presentations. Further, each team of 3-5 students is assigned a mentor, coming either from academia or practice.

Not just an exercise

Additionally, all participants are introduced to and held to the standard of the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.
