Lukáš Brych, CFA, ACCA - President
Lukáš is a manager in Transaction Advisory Services of Ernst & Young in the Czech Republic. He specializes in business valuations including value-based management issues and tangible/intangible asset valuations for various purposes.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Lukáš worked as an equity research analyst for an international brokerage house.
Lukáš graduated at University of Economics in Prague (major: Finance, minor: Political science) and is a licensed broker for trading in securities and derivatives. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He joined the Czech CFA Society Board of Directors in 2006.
Petra Roberts, CFA (née Lapková) - Vice President, Membership Chair, IT Chair - handles members' and candidates' querries
Petra is a partner and consultant with Klímová Roberts & Partners providing advisory services in the area of Investor Relations primarily for companies listed on the Prague or other CE stock exchange or for private companies that plan an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of their shares.
Petra started her professional career as an Equity Analyst for Eastbrokers International and later as an Equity Research Associate for CSFB working in a London and EMEA based team. She obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and in 2002 helped to found a branch of the CFA Society in the Czech Republic and has served as a member of the Board for six years.
George A. Formandl, CFA - Past President
George is a Czech-Canadian who has been based in the region since 1997. He joined Kilcullen Kapital Partners in 2003 where he was responsible for project acquisition, development and structured financing for projects in the areas of energy, real estate and private equity, and became a Partner in 2005. George is also a Partner in EnerCap Capital Partners which manages a €100 mil fund investing in renewable energy projects in the CEE region. George has been a board member of the Czech CFA Society since its inception in 2002, and has been President since 2007.
Lubomír Vystavěl, CFA - Program Chair
Lubomír is Head of Equity Markets at ING Wholesale Banking, and has over past 14 years worked in various positions within investment banking research, fixed income and equity trading and sales. Prior to joining ING Lubomir has worked for one year for Československá obchodní banka, a.s. as research assistant to the advisor of the bank‘s management in the field of investment banking.
Jana Jandová, CFA - Treasurer
Jana Jandová is a manager in Deloitte Czech Republic and she specialises in Dispute Advisory Services which forms part of the Forensic Department.
She started her professional career with Slavia Capital in 2003 where she specialised in M&A advisory. She then transferred to KPMG Prague and slowly started orientating on dispute resolution services. In 2006 she moved to London where she spent three years gaining experience in all areas of forensic services. Her main experience is in international arbitrations, including bilateral investment treaty disputes, where she assisted experts in quantification of damages.
Jana became a CFA charterholder in 2008.
Marek Jindra, CFA, ACCA - University Outreach
Marek is Assistant Director in Ernst & Young’s Valuation Group located in Prague. He specialises in the business valuation, intangibles and capital equipment valuations.
Marek has 7 years of experience in valuing businesses and assets. He focuses on all aspects of valuation including expert valuations, valuations for M&A purposes and IFRS/SFAS engagements. His industry expertise is focused around the TMT (Telecommunication, Media and Technology) and ECU (Energy, Chemicals and Utilities) sectors. He worked on engagements in Western and Central Europe, Africa, Asia and America.
Marek received a Master of Science in Financial management and Valuation from The University of Economics in Prague, and a Master of Arts in International Economics from The University of Staffordshire. He is currently pursing a PhD from The University of Economics, where his dissertation topic is the Post-acquisition valuation of assets and liabilities.
He is Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and an associated member of the American Society of Appraisers (Machinery and equipment stream).
Radka Kučerová - Secretary (the candidates' representative)
Radka is a corporate finance analyst at a sharia compliant investment asset manager SQO. Prior to moving to Prague at the end of 2008, she worked as an investment banking analyst in London with Credit Suisse. In London Radka started as a fixed income new issues analyst, eventually joining the conduit group of Credit Suisse. She holds a bachelors degree from the University of Cambridge, and is currently a level II CFA candidate.
