This is your last formal communication from your outgoing PCR. I would like to start off with a huge THANK YOU!!!
Thank you very much for the parting gift of the bull. “The Governor”, as he is called, has a place of honor on my desk and I beam with pride of all we accomplished together over the past 4 years. Thank you so much to all of you who organized and participated in its acquisition and gifting! Especially thanks to Wes Peters and Debbie. Please know that it is one of my most prized possessions. As I admire it over the years to come I will reflect fondly on my time served as the Canadian PCR, the meaningful friendships I have forged, the networks established, and the experience accumulated.
Thank you to all of you that I have worked with over the past 4 years. It has been a wonderfully rewarding experience; I very much enjoyed my time spent as Canadian PCR and it is an experience I recommend to anyone contemplating it.
I wish you all best wishes as you tackle the leadership roles of your respective societies. I leave you in good hands with Janine – I know, as you do, that she is very capable and prepared to provide the support you need to meet your societal goals.
More importantly I wish you well as you continue the good work of keeping Canada on top as the best CFA region in the world and the “land of Best Practice”.
I have a few things left undone that I will attempt to complete. In the meantime here is an update…
-
I have yet to complete my work on the CAC and Miville: This is the governance document that will be ready for your upcoming regional meetings as a part of the Society Leadership Conference.
-
Viviane has taken the CIPC and our new country sponsorship and carried it through to be a full and functioning committee. Thank you Viviane.
-
Janine has reported to you on the remaining committees.
-
I will continue to traffic and work on the Private Wealth Body of Knowledge on the Wiki Site.
-
I will continue to advocate for the CFA Program, the Curriculum, and Membership of this fine organization in my travels.
-
I will continue to mentor candidates when blessed with the opportunity.
What else will I be doing? Aside from you know, work… and family… I am contemplating pursuing a little continuing education of my own in the Trust and Estate practice area.
Thank you and Best Wishes, and please stay in touch…
