The CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program sets the global standard for investment, knowledge, standards and ethics. Passing the CFA examinations highlights to clients, employers, and colleagues that the charterholder has mastered a broad range of investment topics and is committed to the highest ethical standards in the profession. This, however, can only be achieved with strong commitment to self-study and long hours of self-preparation.
The Bulgarian CFA Society supports the efforts of Bulgarian Level I CFA candidates by sponsoring a CFA level I exam preparation and review opportunities. The main goal of the course is to create a supportive environment for review of the course material and for better understanding of the underlying concepts through peer discussion. To that end experienced and respected CFA charterholders and investment practitioners coach candidates on CFA curriculum topics, such as securities analysis and investment valuation, financial accounting, quantitative analysis, economics, asset allocation, and portfolio management.
The prep course is usually held in late April to end of May of each year just prior to the June CFA exam. The length of the course is 34 astronomic hours, spread throughout a couple of evening of each work week and during the weekends.
The price for the course varies. This is a non-for-profit endeavor for the Bulgarian CFA Society and the price is mainly a function of the number of candidates wishing to enroll.
Details on the 2010 prep course will be announced in due time.
