The CFA Society of The Bahamas is a non profit society that's chief goal is to encourage and to assist individuals in the investment management industry. The CFASB serves as advocate in the financial Community by liaising with the Bahamas Securities Commission and providing input for regulation of the industry.
The CFASB was formed in 1990. On May 23, 1999 the CFA Society of The Bahamas advanced its Chapter status to become a Society inside CFA Institute. Currently the CFASB has 58 members and approximately 81% of these are charterholders.
The purpose of our society in The Bahamas is very much in-line with that of CFA Institute, and that is to maintain very high professional standards and a high degree of integrity. Our mission can be summed up in a set of core values, "integrity, professional excellence, strength of community and cooperation within our Society and within our community as a whole."
